FAS AFSA Results - 2005

  • Coordinated with EEO to compile and distribute diversity data on FAS FSOs
  • Coordinated with HRD and FAS management on developing and implementing a SFS pay package
  • Coordinated with HRD to revise the lateral entry process so that we do a better job of bringing in candidates with the desired competencies
  • Created and led a working group that made recommendations for improvements to our performance management system
  • At AFSA's request, the FAS Administrator agreed to create a human capital working group
  • Initiated meetings on interim bargaining
  • Assisted employees with performance evaluation and home leave issues
  • Counseled employees on performance appraisals
  • Solicited input from members and provided constructive suggestions to FAS management on the strategic review process
  • Created a committee to review and make recommendations for additional improvements to the lateral entry process
  • Hosted session on the differences and similarities of the performance management and evaluation processes at the various foreign affairs agencies
  • Conducted a human capital survey of FAS FSOs and made recommendations to FAS management on how to address human capital issues
