2.  ASSIGNMENTS UPDATE: AFSA VP POSITION OPEN
Your AFSA team is monitoring and participating in the on-going process. As
noted in AFSANET of December 21, please send any expressions of interest
to VP Donald Businger as soon as possible, and before Jan 9.  AFSA Board
is meeting Jan 9 but may not act on recommendations until the February 6
meeting.

3. SURVEY CLOSING ON JANUARY 23
Due to home leave schedules, we have left open our survey for those just
returning to post.  We have over a hundred responses and hope to make this
a rather complete canvas of our members to close on January 23.
