Ms. Molly Williamson will examine Middle East demographic and economic factors, the increasingly international nature of ramifications (Russian engagement, migrations affecting Europe), and the impact on global energy markets. Ms. Williamson is a former Foreign Service officer and has held numerous diplomatic postings in the Middle East, including interim ambassador to Bahrain and Chief Of Mission and Consul General in Jerusalem. She speaks extensively on energy, economic and demographic factors affecting foreign policy formulation, US-Middle East relations, especially regional unrest, the Israel-Palestine conflict, Iran and nuclear challenges, and the interagency process. She is a scholar with the Middle East Institute, a consultant, and a frequent lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management, and the National Joint Staff College.
