2015 AFSA Governing Board Elections

The 2015-2017 AFSA Governing Board election cycle has begun. Please check back periodically for continually updated information on deadlines, candidates, slates, important dates, and other details.

Click on the link above to send an email requesting a replacement electronic or printed ballot to election@afsa.org. Please be sure to include the following information:

  1. Your Name,
  2. Work Email,
  3. Personal Email,
  4. Constituency, and
  5. Whether you'd like an Electronic or a Printed Ballot.
  • Important Dates:
    • Feb. 2, 2015—Deadline for Nominations
    • March 16, 2015
      • Committee on Elections Announces Candidates' Names
      • Must be regular AFSA member in good-standing in order to vote
    • March 25, 2015—USAID Town Hall at the RRB in the LPA/IC Conference Room M-17, located on the Mezzanine Level
    • March 30, 2015—Active Duty Town Hall at FSI in the Kennan conference room at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center (FSI)
    • April 7, 2015—State Town Hall at HST in the Loy Henderson Auditorium
    • April 8, 2015—Retiree Town Hall at AFSA HQ Building in the first floor conference room
    • April 15, 2015—Ballots and Candidate Statements Mailed
    • June 4, 2015—Ballots Counted
    • July 15, 2015—New Governing Board Takes Office
