the ranking member and Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

 

AFSA works with great dedication on standing up for the men and women of the Foreign Service in the halls of Congress. In order to achieve this, we keep up a multifaceted and vigorous relationship with key members and committee staff. AFSA regularly meets with Senators and Congressmen and their staff members to discuss the issues that are of greatest importance to our members, ranging from Overseas Comparability Pay to capital gains tax provisions and various entitlement and health insurance programs.

We hope you will also consider donating to our Legislative Action Fund, which provides AFSA with the funds needed to continue fighting for the Foreign Service on the Hill. (Please note that LAF donations are not tax-deductible. The Legislative Action Fund is also separate from AFSA-PAC, our political action committee, which makes donations to individual members of Congress.)
