| Announcing AFSA's annual electronic opinion poll of State active-duty members on major issues facing the Foreign Service |
|
AFSA is once again seeking your views. As we did just over a year ago we have launched a
comprehensive, online survey of the opinions of the active-duty State membership on a wide
range of vital issues on which AFSA is engaged. These issues range from Iraq service to
changes in the assignment system to concerns about promotions, political appointees, and the
role of the career Foreign Service in the policy process. This web-based survey contains only
21 mostly multiple-choice questions and can be easily completed in just a few minutes. The
purpose of this survey is to give you a vehicle to tell us your concerns and to guide us on
how best to represent you on the main issues facing the Foreign Service in our
discussions/negotiations with Department management. This is an important task - our previous
electronic survey got nearly 2,500 responses from members at virtually every post
worldwide, and we hope for a stronger turnout this time!!
Please take this quick survey NOW and forward this survey link to all your active-duty State colleagues. Results will be published in one month. Thank you!! |
