In September 2000, world leaders committed their nations to achieving eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015.On September 25th, the UN will build upon the MDGs and converge with the post-2015 development agenda by committing to 17 new Sustainable Development Goals to fight against poverty, inequality, and climate change.
