H.E. Dr. Chihombori-Quao has been the African Union Ambassador to the United States of America since December 1st, 2016. She will discuss the evolution of trade and industry and cooperation in Africa starting with the Berlin Conference of 1884 - 1885 through the Africa Continental Free Trade Area founded in March, 2018. Prior to her appointment, Ambassador Chihombori-Quao was a renowned family medicine doctor in Mufreesboro Tennessee, where she practiced medicine for the last 25 years. She has also been actively involved in various programs and projects of the African Union. Since 2012, she was the chair of the African Union-African Diaspora Health Initiative where she was involved in mobilizing the African Diaspora health professionals to assist in addressing the healthcare crisis on the continent of Africa. This event costs $25 and includes lunch.
