Academic and Art Merit awards are $2,000, and Financial Aid Scholarships range from $1,500 to $4,500. The submission deadline is Feb. 6, 2012. AFSA HOSTS FALL INTERNS Each semester, AFSA is proud to host a group of talented interns, whose contributions to our programs and projects are always significant. This fall semester, we have the plea- sure of welcoming three new students: • Liron Feldman is the communications, marketing and outreach intern. A senior at the University of California, Davis, Liron assists with AFSA events, outreach programs, Web and social media projects, and the awards program. Laura is a senior at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, double majoring in Latin American and hemispheric studies andMiddle Eastern studies, and minoring in Spanish.
