AFSA Scholarship Application Information

The American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Scholarship Fund offers need-based, undergraduate Financial Aid Scholarships and Merit Awards for high school seniors to children of US Government Foreign Service employees. Applications are available on November 15, and the submission deadline is February 6.

Children of AFSA or AAFSW* members who are high school seniors

* AAFSW stands for Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide.

- Fifteen (15) $2,000 awards
- Eight honorable mention awards at $1,000


- Best Essay & Community Service Award - each $500

- One $2,000 award


- One honorable mention award at $1,000

Financial Aid

Approximately 65 need-based scholarships ranging from $1,500-$4,000
