Open to all DACOR members and guests, the October Salon will feature Daniel Twining, President of IRI. He joined IRI as president in September 2017, where he leads the Institute's mission to advance democracy and freedom around the world. He heads IRI's team of nearly 500 global experts to link people and governments, motivating people to engage in the political process, and guide politicians and government officials to be responsive to citizens. The discussion will focus on perceptions of American values abroad. Given his broad experience on the Secretary's Policy Planning Staff, foreign policy advisor to Senator John McCain, and staff member at the USTR, it should be a robust and interesting discussion. The salon is limited to 20 people. The emphasis is on discussion concepts and principles that have defined America and their role going forward. This event costs $35 and includes dinner.
